Devops represents a different approach to IT operations — an approach based on the principles of collaboration, visibility and automation. For developers it means a better understanding and greater visibility into the environment that the production system is running. For operations it means closer collaboration with development and a greater focus on frequent deployment, monitoring tools and automated system provisioning.
