Offline web apps with Google Gears

Google Gears is an open source browser extension that lets developers create web applications that can run offline. During this presentation Dion Almaer will explain what Google Gears is and what the future usage will be within Google and other related partners.

Dion Almaer now works at Google on the Gears project and the Google out reach program. He is an architect, mentor, pragmatic, and evangelist of technologies such as J2EE, JDO, AOP, and Groovy. He is the Editor-in-Chief of J2EE Community and enjoys working in the community.
