Apache Camel for Enterprise Integration

23 January 2012 No Comment

This video first introduces you to the Enterprise Integration Patterns as a way to describe and define integration solutions. Then it presents Apache Camel, an open-source framework to exchange, route and transform data using various protocols. Apache Camel is prepackaged with components for dealing with various backend systems and powerful routing and filter capabilities.

Apache Camel provides a really simple and powerful way to solve your integration problems – where integration literally becomes writing integration rules in “lego style” by wiring together EIP patterns, endpoints and beans. This is done using the Camel DSL, which comes in multiple flavors such as Java, XML, Groovy and Scala.
